Abstract From the Canadian patent

Abstract of the Disclosure, A telecommunications cable in which pairs of twisted together conductors are spaced apart to minimize capacitance unbalance and cross-talk. A central core member may be provided with the conductor pairs extending around the core member which may have spokes to separate the conductor pairs. Alternatively, the cable jacket has inwardly directed spacers which separate the conductor pins and hold them in recesses defined by the jacket.

Why it's free to use

  • Filed December 18, 1991. No grant is recorded for it in Canada; had it been granted, its 20-year term would have ended December 18, 2011.
  • A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by December 18, 2013.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
