A network for distributing a set of independent high-frequency electrical signals comprises an optical rail waveguide (11) that is fed with a measured amount of optical power from a single source (10) and a set of optical railtaps (20, 21, 200) positioned at sequential locations along the optical rail waveguide (11). Each optical railtap functions (20 21, 200) to extract a correspond-, ing specified fraction of the measured amount of optical power from the optical rail waveguide (11) when a corresponding one of the independent electrical signals is applied thereto. The fractions of the measured amount of optical power extracted from the optical rail waveguide (11) at the corresponding …

Why it's free to use
- Filed March 26, 1991 and granted August 23, 1994. A Canadian patent filed from October 1, 1989 lasts 20 years from filing, so its term ended March 26, 2011.
- A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by March 26, 2013.
- We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
