Abstract From the Canadian patent

A liquid, foaming detergent composition comprising 5 to 40% by weight of an alkylpolyglycoside 0.1 to 2.9% by weight, of an anionic surfactant and 0 to 3% by weight of other surfactants is disclosed. The alkylpolyglycosides satisfy the formula, R-O-Zn, where R is an aliphatic alkyl radical having 10 to 18 carbon atoms and Zn is a polyglycosyl radical with n = 1 to 3 hexose or pentose units. The composition possesses all advantageous properties of conventional dishwashing detergents an improved, viscosity and excellent biodegradability. It is particularly useful as a manual dishwashing material.

Why it's free to use

  • Filed November 15, 1991. No grant is recorded for it in Canada; had it been granted, its 20-year term would have ended November 15, 2011.
  • A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by November 15, 2013.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
