Abstract From the Canadian patent

A panel mounting device (16) by which a first panel (14) might be applied to the surface of another second panel (15). The panel mounting device (16) comprises a shank (10, 17) with cap (11 18) thereto. Its shank (10, 17) is passed through a larger dimensioned hole in the second panel (15) with its cap (11, 18) engaged against the rim of the hole. A screw (13) is passed through the panel mounting device (16) to project from the shank (10, 17), engage the first panel (14) and be screwed thereinto. Before finally tensioning the screw (13), the first panel (14) edge may be tapped to accurately position it when the screw (13) is finally tightened.

Why it's free to use

  • Filed November 8, 1991. No grant is recorded for it in Canada; had it been granted, its 20-year term would have ended November 8, 2011.
  • A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by November 8, 2013.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
