This invention describes an apparatus for measuring the rate of flow of a liquid through a pipe in a vacuum-liquid delivery system in which a first bounded volume for carrying the liquid has an inlet and an outlet and a suction is applied to the outlet. A first pair of electrical contacts interior to the first bounded volume are located in a position where they can be splashed by the liquid as it passes through the bounded volume thereby causing a varying impedance across the contacts. A second bounded volume having an inlet and an outlet has its outlet connected to the outlet of the first bounded volume. A second pair of electrical contacts interior to the second bounded volume, are …

Why it's free to use
- Filed October 8, 1991. No grant is recorded for it in Canada; had it been granted, its 20-year term would have ended October 8, 2011.
- A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by October 8, 2013.
- We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
