Abstract From the Canadian patent

A multi-phase polymer composite having reduced oxygen permeability comprising the reaction product of a vinyl thermoplastic polymer having a major portion comprising an interpolymerized non-carbonyl containing vinyl monomer or mixture of polymerizable monomers, a polyhydric polymer derived from a saponified vinyl ester polymer having greater than about 40 mole percent vinyl alcohol content and a reactive coupling agent. The composites exhibit improved impact and delamination resistance and exhibit a wide processing window for melt processing such as injection blow molding of containers and the like. 1900021

Why it's free to use

  • Filed September 18, 1991. No grant is recorded for it in Canada; had it been granted, its 20-year term would have ended September 18, 2011.
  • A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by September 18, 2013.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
