The metal part (A) of the composite profile is clipped onto the plastic connecting part (B,B1) or pushed onto it lengthwise in such a manner that when a suitable load is applied to the anchoring elements (8 B2) the metal, part (A) can bend elastically and thus move or slide in the transverse direction (16) and return to its initial position automatically when the load is removed without the anchorage being loosened and longitudinal sliding under load being prevented. The return of the metal part (A) to its initial position can be undertaken or assisted by flanges (17,18 18a) on the metal part itself.

Why it's free to use
- Filed December 28, 1990. No grant is recorded for it in Canada; had it been granted, its 20-year term would have ended December 28, 2010.
- A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by December 28, 2012.
- We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
