Abstract From the Canadian patent

A combination panelboard-switchboard housing accepts plug-on connection with a plurality of modular electric switch-circuit breaker enclosures. The modular enclosure accepts circuit breakers and electric switches which can be field-installed with minor alteration to the enclosure. A busway joint assembly arranged within the housing interior facilitates external electrical connection with the electrical distribution system power busway in situ.

Why it's free to use

  • Filed August 8, 1991. No grant is recorded for it in Canada; had it been granted, its 20-year term would have ended August 8, 2011.
  • A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by August 8, 2013.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
