A microwave active coating material is provided which includes electrically conductive elements and a binder system. The binder system includes a poly (methyl vinyl ether/maleic anhydride) co-polymer resin or derivatives thereof and a solvent. The coating material is capable of pattern coating a substrate to form a plurality of discrete electrically conductive elements. The discrete electrically conductive elements have a maximum dimension sufficiently small to obviate arcing. In addition the, elements form an array which operates as a microwave field modifier. The modifier may constitute a dielectric substrate having a plurality of discrete surface areas which are coated with an …

Why it's free to use
- Filed August 2, 1991. No grant is recorded for it in Canada; had it been granted, its 20-year term would have ended August 2, 2011.
- A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by August 2, 2013.
- We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
