Abstract From the Canadian patent

57) Abstract, The invention relates to a process for optimising fuel combustion with the minimum CO emission by the prior introduction into the fuel air mixture of a fluid vapour containing water and/or alcohol and by producing a uniform fluid-fuel mixture. In addition, too invention relates to a device for implementing said process. To save considerable quantities of petrol and reduce carbon monoxide emission, it is proposed to add a vaporous fluid to the air-fuel mixture in a turbulent flow field in order to obtain the smallest possible drops of fuel and to maintain them until combustion. This is done by means of a liquid atomisor which meters drops of liquid into an atomiser-eddy chamber …

Why it's free to use

  • Filed February 19, 1990. No grant is recorded for it in Canada; had it been granted, its 20-year term would have ended February 19, 2010.
  • A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by February 19, 2012.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
