A connector assembly includes a connector body having at least one terminal, an electrical conductor connected to and extending away from the terminal, and a one-piece molded, grommet/seal member. The grommet/seal member is injectionmolded around a portion of the connector body the point at, which the electrical conductor and terminal are connected and, at least a portion of the electrical conductor. A portion of the grommet/seal member is formed so as to sealingly attach to an opening in a housing. The grommet/seal member is formed of a flexible material, such as neoprene, so as to allow the connector body to be laterally displaced for purposes of alignment with a mating connector assembly.

Why it's free to use
- Filed June 28, 1991 and granted May 31, 1994. A Canadian patent filed from October 1, 1989 lasts 20 years from filing, so its term ended June 28, 2011.
- A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by June 28, 2013.
- We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
