A lever adjustable in height is designed to help a person lift a post that is pivotally connected to a substantially horizontal surface. The lever is securable to the post and has an articulation pole secured by its lower end to the post. The upper end of the pole is displaceble tangentially with respect to the post upon applying a pulling force thus, facilitating lifting of the post.

Why it's free to use
- Filed June 18, 1991. No grant is recorded for it in Canada; had it been granted, its 20-year term would have ended June 18, 2011.
- A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by June 18, 2013.
- We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
