A sigma-delta analog to digital converter 1 is disclosed . The digital filter comprises a digital integrator (8 10) for, reception of the negative feedback signal of the analog modulator. The digital integrators (8, 10) are connected to replicate processing of the feedback signal by the analog integrators (3, 5). Accordingly, the digital filter and the analog modulator may be reset simultaneously so that there is no time lag between conversion cycles. Thus single shot, operation is achieved.

Why it's free to use
- Filed May 17, 1991 and granted March 18, 1997. A Canadian patent filed from October 1, 1989 lasts 20 years from filing, so its term ended May 17, 2011.
- A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by May 17, 2013.
- We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
