There is disclosed a multi-layer polymer which comprises a core layer formed from an aromatic vinyl monomer an, intermediate rubbery polymer layer formed from an alkyl acrylate monomer wherein the alkyl has 2-8 carbons and a glassy polymer shell layer formed from an aromatic vinyl monomer. There is also disclosed a polycarbonate resin composition and a polycarbonate-polyester resin composition which contains the multi-layer polymer. The resin composition provides shaped articles which have improved impact resistance, and also high evenness in color when the composition contains a coloring agent.

Why it's free to use
- Filed May 10, 1991 and granted February 12, 2002. A Canadian patent filed from October 1, 1989 lasts 20 years from filing, so its term ended May 10, 2011.
- A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by May 10, 2013.
- We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
