Abstract From the Canadian patent

In the feeder for sheets in a sheet-processing machine fanning blowers (4) for separating the top sheets of a sheet pile are directed at the rear edge of the top sheets in the sheet pile. This feeder also features further blower nozzles (9, 10) through which - in synchronism with the operating cycle of the feeder and via a control valve (14) driven in synchronism with the separating device - blast air can be blown under the top sheet, whereby the blast air originates from a separate blast-air source (12) which can be controlled independently of a central blast-air supply system (8).

Why it's free to use

  • Filed April 16, 1991 and granted August 30, 1994. A Canadian patent filed from October 1, 1989 lasts 20 years from filing, so its term ended April 16, 2011.
  • A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by April 16, 2013.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
