Abstract From the Canadian patent

Docket No. 1015-IR-RD, ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE An apparatus to be inserted into a bore formed in a structure, includes a sleeve having an aperture. A rod is designed to be inserted into the aperture. The coupling maintains the rod substantially in axial alignment with the aperture prior to insertion of the sleeve into the bore. A recess, which is adapted to interfit with the rod is dis-, posed in the coupling to maintain the axial alignment. The coupling will not interfere with the insertion of the rod into the aperture. This insertion will cause the sleeve to be expanded into contact with a side of the bore.

Why it's free to use

  • Filed April 3, 1991. No grant is recorded for it in Canada; had it been granted, its 20-year term would have ended April 3, 2011.
  • A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by April 3, 2013.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
