Building materials such as dimensional lumber and panelling are measured and cut into standard sizes during the construction process. The present invention assists the user by having regularly spaced linear marking thereon. The markings save the user time, in that in many situations he will not need a measuring tape straight edge or pencil. As there are many standard sizes in the construction industry the present invention, provides markings on the product that conform to these often used measurements.

Why it's free to use
- Filed March 22, 1991. No grant is recorded for it in Canada; had it been granted, its 20-year term would have ended March 22, 2011.
- A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by March 22, 2013.
- We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
