Abstract From the Canadian patent

For the transport of widths or sheets of piper roller is suggested which comprises a roller body with a cylindrical casing and a bushing (1) which is surrounded by the casing. The roller body has a coaxial clearance into which a shaft (3) is pressed whilst expanding. The inside of the bushing (1) which limits the clearance is provided with protrusions (2) which are evenly spaced over its circumference and which extend in the axial direction and face inwards. When pressing the shaft (3) into the bushing (1) of the roller body the protrusions (2) are forced to move radially outwards and effect a rotationally secure connection of the roller body to the shaft (3).

Why it's free to use

  • Filed March 12, 1991. No grant is recorded for it in Canada; had it been granted, its 20-year term would have ended March 12, 2011.
  • A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by March 12, 2013.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
