A portable circular saw with a 60 bevel cut capability that is provided by a combination of blade diameter, height of front and rear pivot points above the footplate, the ability to tip the saw about a front hinge point to avoid projections contacting the footplate at a 60 angle and recesses and orifices provided in the footplate at points where interference would normally occur between the motor housing assembly and the saw blade when the blade is at a 60 bevel angle so as to prevent any interference of the footplate with the motor housing assembly and saw blade. Why it's free to use
- Filed February 19, 1991 and granted July 5, 1994. A Canadian patent filed from October 1, 1989 lasts 20 years from filing, so its term ended February 19, 2011.
- A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by February 19, 2013.
- We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
