55,482, Abstract of the Disclosure, A steam turbine control valve actuator for leveroperated control valves includes a servomechanical actuator with a reciprocable rod. Such servomechanical actuator is mounted upon a support assembly that is in turn, pivotably, mounted to the control valve body. A distal end of the rod is coupled by a knuckle joint to one end of the lever which operates the control valve, and forces of the rod are biased by a spring that substantially eliminates side forces on the rod through maintenance of the effort that is applied to the lever by the rod in a direction that: is parallel to the rod.

Why it's free to use
- Filed February 15, 1991. No grant is recorded for it in Canada; had it been granted, its 20-year term would have ended February 15, 2011.
- A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by February 15, 2013.
- We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
