Abstract From the Canadian patent

A control system for a textile dying apparatus processes and distributes digitally encoded pattern information. A substrate is moved on a path along which the surface of the substrate comes into operative range of a plurality of arrays arranged along the path of the substrate. Each of the arrays has a plurality of individual dye applicators capable of selectively projecting a stream of dye onto a predetermined portion of the substrate corresponding to a pattern element in a pattern composed of a pattern element matrix with a plurality of pattern elements in each of a plurality of pattern rows. Why it's free to use

  • Filed February 14, 1991 and granted May 28, 2002. A Canadian patent filed from October 1, 1989 lasts 20 years from filing, so its term ended February 14, 2011.
  • A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by February 14, 2013.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
