Abstract From the Canadian patent

Abstract of the Disclosure A glass reveal molding has a generally J-shaped clamping portion which éxerts substantially even gripping pressures on both the top and bottom surfaces of the glass. The molding utilizes a more rigid carrier on the clamping portion and a softer, more flexible material on the crown portion. The molding substantially eliminates roll-over or disengagement of the molding to the glass prior to complete assembly. The molding also provides a crown which covers the gap between the vehicle body contour and the glass perimeter.

Why it's free to use

  • Filed February 6, 1991. No grant is recorded for it in Canada; had it been granted, its 20-year term would have ended February 6, 2011.
  • A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by February 6, 2013.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
