Abstract From the Canadian patent

The invention relates to a rubber composition with improved heat resistance and a polynorbornene base including a mixture of at least 50% by weight of polynorbornene and at most 50% by weight of another rubber said mixture having been vulcanized by an effective quantity of at least one compound: (I) where R1 R2 = CHnX3-n, with X = F, Cl or Br and n = integral from 0 to 2. The invention also relates to a thermoplastic composition including 10 - 90 parts by weight (pp) of at least one crystal polymer (A) with an olefin base from 90 - 10 pp of a mixture (B) of at least 50% by weight of polynorbornene and at most 50% by weight of another rubber and a quantity of polynorbornene plasticator which …

Why it's free to use

  • Filed July 3, 1990 and granted November 23, 1999. A Canadian patent filed from October 1, 1989 lasts 20 years from filing, so its term ended July 3, 2010.
  • A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by July 3, 2012.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
