Abstract From the Canadian patent

A method and a system for scheduling production of a product through a plurality of logical machines comprises, identifying first machines to supply a load of product identifying a second machine to receive a load of product from one of the first machines to perform a job step and determin-, ing which of the first machines should supply the load of product to the second machine to perform the job step using priority rules which are based upon the avoidance of bottlenecks during production, the priority of the product and an, analysis of future events.
