Abstract From the Canadian patent

The present invention relates to crosslinked carboxylic copolymers useful as thickeners comprising an unsaturated carboxylic acid; a crosslinking monomer selected from the group consisting of, triallylisocyanurate triallyl trimellitate, glyoxal, bis(diallyl acetal) trivinylcyclohexane, and, triallylcyanurate; and optionally a comonomer containing a polymerizable ethylenically unsaturated group and/or an ethoxylated glyceride compound.
