A rollable heat exchanger includes parallel fluid-carrying passageways which are connected with each other by elastic webs. Attached to the passageways-near side of the webs is a filler material which flatly covers the passageways and is of flexible, elastic composition so as to allow coiling of he, heat exchanger. Thus, the heat exchanger can be used for a wide range of applications, in particular for covering a surface and/or bridging hollow spaces, especially sporting surfaces and recreational surfaces.

Why it's free to use
- Filed January 7, 1991 and granted March 14, 2000. A Canadian patent filed from October 1, 1989 lasts 20 years from filing, so its term ended January 7, 2011.
- A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by January 7, 2013.
- We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
