Abstract From the Canadian patent

A case is described within which a conventional box containing fruit juice is enclosed. The case has a pair of sections which pivot open to receive the box. The walls of the sections are insulated so that when the case is closed the contents of the box is maintained at a uniform temperature. Each section has a pair of side walls and a triangular shaped end wall at opposite ends. Each end wall has an edge which meets with a like edge of the other section when the sections are closed and those edges separate from one another when the case is opened. A flap is attached to one section and it may be swung into contact with a protrusion on the other section for interconnecting the sections.

Why it's free to use

  • Filed January 7, 1991. No grant is recorded for it in Canada; had it been granted, its 20-year term would have ended January 7, 2011.
  • A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by January 7, 2013.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
