Abstract of the Disclosure An improved inflator for use in automated wheel/tire assembly lines is disclosed herein. The improved inflator incorporates temperature sensors to sense both the temperature of the compressed air used to inflate the tire and the ambient air temperature in response to which control means will adjust a base reference inflation pressure to compensate for these variables. A pressure sensor is also provided which serves to provide feed back information as to the actual pressure to which the tire is inflated.

Why it's free to use
- Filed January 2, 1991 and granted January 11, 1994. A Canadian patent filed from October 1, 1989 lasts 20 years from filing, so its term ended January 2, 2011.
- A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by January 2, 2013.
- We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
