Abstract From the Canadian patent

In a method for preparing faujasite, a gel is formed comprising a mixture of water, alkali metal aluminate and alkali metal silicate. The gel is then broken by subjecting the gel to high shear agitation to convert the gel to a homogeneous, pourable mixture. The resultant mixture is then aged for at least 6 hours at a temperature of at least 15°C before being crystallized to produce faujasite in the form of platelets having a particle size of 0.1 microns or less.

Why it's free to use

  • Filed December 20, 1990. No grant is recorded for it in Canada; had it been granted, its 20-year term would have ended December 20, 2010.
  • A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by December 20, 2012.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
