This disclosure describes a double-sided transmission substrate formed with striplines and end-ports in juxtaposition on either side. The transmission substrate is sandwiched between two exterior dielectric substrates each coated on, one side with a metallic layer. The three substrates are laminated together. Throughholes are drilled into the lamination and its interior substrate at known locations to, intersect the said ports. The copper exteriors of each board are etched to identify two contact pad lands on each side. Plated-thru holes are created to connect to each of the ports.

Why it's free to use
- Filed November 28, 1990 and granted September 13, 1994. A Canadian patent filed from October 1, 1989 lasts 20 years from filing, so its term ended November 28, 2010.
- A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by November 28, 2012.
- We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
