The present invention is concerned with a stable edible dispersion comprising 95 to 86% by weight of an aqueous phase and 5 to 14% by weight of a continuous fat phase having and N20-value of at least 5. It is surprising that provided suitable processing, conditions are applied and a seeding component is employed, stable dispersions containing less than 14% by weight of a continuous fat phase having an N20-value of at least 5, and more than 86% by weight of an aqueous phase can be prepared. Another aspect of the present invention is a method of preparing a dispersion comprising 95 to 86% of an aqueous phase and 5 to 14% by weight of a continuous fat phase having an N20-value of at least 5 …

Why it's free to use
- Filed November 21, 1990 and granted July 30, 1996. A Canadian patent filed from October 1, 1989 lasts 20 years from filing, so its term ended November 21, 2010.
- A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by November 21, 2012.
- We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
