Abstract From the Canadian patent

A power supply apparatus is provided for converting direct currents into higher voltage high frequency alternating currents at adjustable amperages. The apparatus include an intensity adjustment for providing a duty cycle modulation voltage indicative of a selected average current to be output, a duty cycle modulation responsive to the modulation voltage to provide driver-enabling signals at a fixed oscillator frequency with duty cycles, modulated in proportion to the modulation voltage at two enabling, terminals in alternate periods of said oscillator and a driver including two, current switches each connected through an end of a respective primary transformer coil in parallel between a …

Why it's free to use

  • Filed November 16, 1990. No grant is recorded for it in Canada; had it been granted, its 20-year term would have ended November 16, 2010.
  • A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by November 16, 2012.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
