Abstract From the Canadian patent

TITLE, Method for Determining Level of Bulk and Control Thereof, ABSTRACT, An apparatus that includes speed temperature, tension, position and pressure sensors on a BCF yarn spinning machine in connection with a digital computer incorporates models in the computer which predict yarn bulk and dyeability properties at a function of sensor inputs: hot roll temperature, bulking set temperatures ladder, guide tension, relative viscosity draw zone, tension, Hall-effect Watt-meter measuring the power consumption of the spinning pump, finish roll speed, takeup roll speed, wind up speed and wind up tension. Why it's free to use

  • Filed November 7, 1990. No grant is recorded for it in Canada; had it been granted, its 20-year term would have ended November 7, 2010.
  • A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by November 7, 2012.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
