Abstract From the Canadian patent

The bicycle frame has separate tubes made of composite material and joined to each other by means of a coiled band also made of composite material. In the region of the crank axle bracket is therefore achieved a more solid coiled band arrangement which joins together the saddle tube the lower, frame tube and the rear fork tubes with the crank axle bracket and forms a compact junction and force taking unit.

Why it's free to use

  • Filed October 26, 1990. No grant is recorded for it in Canada; had it been granted, its 20-year term would have ended October 26, 2010.
  • A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by October 26, 2012.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
