Abstract of the Disclosure, Compounds possessing both a hindered amine moiety such, as a derivative of 2,2,6,6-tetramethylpiperidine and a, hydroxylamine moiety where the N-hydroxy group is not attached to a nitrogen atom in a piperidine ring are valuable stabilizers for protecting polymer compositions against the deleterious effects of actinic light and from the adverse effects of high temperature polymer processing environments.

Why it's free to use
- Filed October 22, 1990. No grant is recorded for it in Canada; had it been granted, its 20-year term would have ended October 22, 2010.
- A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by October 22, 2012.
- We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
