Abstract From the Canadian patent

Abstract of the Invention An autoequalizing hybrid circuit for providing a cancelation path to minimize the two-wire receive path signals that are reflected onto a two-wire transmit path from a subscriber line interface circuit is disclosed. The hybrid circuit includes a variable impedance balance network. A tone generator Injects a set of equalization signals into the receive path which are used to control the setting, or equalization, of the balance network. The tone generator also generates a supervisory signal into the receive path used to monitor the performance of the balance network. A detect circuit monitors the level of the reflected equalization sidetone signals and produces …

Why it's free to use

  • Filed October 19, 1990. No grant is recorded for it in Canada; had it been granted, its 20-year term would have ended October 19, 2010.
  • A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by October 19, 2012.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
