A covered hopper railway car for transporting difficult-to-unload ladings includes a pair of parallel spaced, apart side walls and opposed end walls. A roof covers the car and has an opening therein for loading lading into the car. The bottom has outlets attached thereto for discharging lading from the car. Each outlet comprises a drop-bottom outlet whose length and width are sufficient so as to substantially prevent lading from bridging over the outlet, thereby facilitating discharge of the lading

Why it's free to use
- Filed October 15, 1990. No grant is recorded for it in Canada; had it been granted, its 20-year term would have ended October 15, 2010.
- A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by October 15, 2012.
- We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
