Abstract From the Canadian patent

A stabilized thermoplastic moulding composition based on halogen-containing polymers, in particular polyvinyl chloride and vinyl chloride copolymers. The stabilizer system contains as primary stabilizers polyoxazolines and zinc compounds. The costabilizers according to the invention are copolymers of oxazolines and bisoxazoles of formulae Ia and Ib respectively, and , (Ia) (Ib), wherein R1 and X are for example, a C1-C20 alkyl. The moulding composition comprising costabilizers show better heat stability than compositions stabilized with primary stabilizers only.

Why it's free to use

  • Filed September 24, 1990. No grant is recorded for it in Canada; had it been granted, its 20-year term would have ended September 24, 2010.
  • A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by September 24, 2012.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
