Abstract From the Canadian patent

16-, Abstract of the Disclosure, A method is proposed which enables the formation of coarse, high density precipitates when treating solutions or slurries containing acids or metal salts. This is done by flocculating a slurried precipitant such as hydrated, lime, and adding such flocculated precipitant to the solution or slurry to be treated while agitating the same. During this reaction the floccules of the flocculated, precipitant become coated or encapsulated with precipitate which is broken under agitation to form the coarse particles of precipitate while uncovering the floccules of the precipitant to allow continuation of the reaction. Why it's free to use

  • Filed September 12, 1990. No grant is recorded for it in Canada; had it been granted, its 20-year term would have ended September 12, 2010.
  • A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by September 12, 2012.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
