The present invention relates to fibre-reinforced belts, such as timing belts or conveyor belts which are, manufactured from a hydrogenated nitrite rubber having oxazoline functionality. Thus, the hydrogenated nitrite rubber contains less than 10 mole percent carbon-carbon double bond unsaturation and a functional group which may be identified using infrared spectroscopy by a characteristic peak between 1552 cm 1 and 1668 cm-1. The present belts are further characterized by having excellent adhesion between the fibre reinforcement and the oxazoline functionalized hydrogenated nitrite rubber.

Why it's free to use
- Filed September 6, 1990 and granted February 20, 2001. A Canadian patent filed from October 1, 1989 lasts 20 years from filing, so its term ended September 6, 2010.
- A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by September 6, 2012.
- We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
