Abstract of the Disclosure, A fastener and driver combination in which the fastener exhibits an extended grip range thereby enabling a single fastener to be used in a wide range of applications. The fastener comprises a bolt having a head and a threaded shank receivable in an internally threaded barrel projecting from one face of the head of a nut. The nut has a driving recess in its other outer, face. The threaded passage through said barrel is in open communication with the driving recess in said nut whereby the bolt shank can enter the driving recess when the nut is tightened on the bolt.
