The safety device of this invention is made up of a source pressure regulator, an inspirator and a pressure sensing pilot connected to a gas venting means. All of these components are in gas flow connection with each other. The pressure sensing pilot has a valve that will open upon, overpressurization of the gas transport system containing these components. Upon this overpressurization the inspirator will cause a vacuum to be formed which will open or activate the gas venting means and permit the excess gas to be vented to the atmosphere.

Why it's free to use
- Filed August 17, 1990. No grant is recorded for it in Canada; had it been granted, its 20-year term would have ended August 17, 2010.
- A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by August 17, 2012.
- We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
