Abstract of the Disclosure A high resolution LCD display is fabricated with a plurality of panels. Each panel has active rows and inactive rows. The panels are stacked and aligned so that each active row is in alignment with inactive rows in all the other panels of the stack. The parallax problem inherent with this stacked cell approach is eliminated by a lens system that collimates light illuminating the stacked assembly.

Why it's free to use
- Filed July 12, 1990. No grant is recorded for it in Canada; had it been granted, its 20-year term would have ended July 12, 2010.
- A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by July 12, 2012.
- We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
