In the case of propeller-aircraft with a single propeller there is present a helical or screw-shaped air flow which impinges one side of the rudder. There is thus required performing a rudder-trim. With the apparatus for the automatic trimming of the rudder this task is essentially facilitated for the pilot or he or she is relieved from performing the same. With the aid of an electronic control device and based upon flight velocity and propeller torque determined by sensors, a trim flap is automatically pivoted into the required position by a trim motor.

Why it's free to use
- Filed July 9, 1990. No grant is recorded for it in Canada; had it been granted, its 20-year term would have ended July 9, 2010.
- A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by July 9, 2012.
- We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
