An automatic side view mirror light for a motor vehicle is provided and consists of a framed side view mirror with a movable housing pivotally mounted to underside. An auxiliary backup light and a curb view mirror are both mounted rearwardly within said housing. When the housing goes into a downward open position the auxiliary backup light will go on to illuminate rear fender of the motor vehicle so that a driver can see at night when looking into the curb view mirror during parking of the motor vehicle. -10-

Why it's free to use
- Filed June 29, 1990. No grant is recorded for it in Canada; had it been granted, its 20-year term would have ended June 29, 2010.
- A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by June 29, 2012.
- We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
