Abstract From the Canadian patent

In the joint transform correlator utilizing a spatical optic modulator, depending on light intensity of each correlation peak obtained from optical correlation processing between at least one reference image and at least one input image, a light intensity passing through each reference image corresponding to each correlation peak is substantially adjusted so as to constitute a feedback system. By such construction when processing a relatively large number of input or reference images the, correlator can avoid failure of recognition due to reduction of light intensity of correlation peaks and can avoid erroneous recognition to enable fast pattern recognition.

Why it's free to use

  • Filed June 15, 1990. No grant is recorded for it in Canada; had it been granted, its 20-year term would have ended June 15, 2010.
  • A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by June 15, 2012.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
