Abstract From the Canadian patent

Disclosed is a radical polymerizable composition comprised of a polymer having a .pi.-electron conjugated structure having repeating units of a mono-substituted or di-substituted isothianaphthene structure which is, represented by the formula Ia and/or Ib: and/or , wherein R1 and R2 represent hydrogen C1 - 18, alkoxy group, or -O(CH2CH2O)nCH3 n: 1 to 4 with the proviso that the case where both R1 and R2 represent hydrogen is excluded, X is an anion y is, from 0.01 to 1, and m is from 5 to 5,000 and a radical polymerizable compound. The radical polymerizable composition has a very stable electroconductivity in air and can be molded into an optional shape.

Why it's free to use

  • Filed May 22, 1990 and granted August 25, 1998. A Canadian patent filed from October 1, 1989 lasts 20 years from filing, so its term ended May 22, 2010.
  • A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by May 22, 2012.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
