Abstract From the Canadian patent

A high molecular weight polyimidoylamidine having an intrinsic viscosity of from 0.12 dl/g to 0.60 dl/g and a high molecular weight polytriazine derived there-from having an intrinsic viscosity of from 0.15 dl/g to 0.65 dl/g are disclosed. A polyimidoylamidine having a wide distribution of molecular weights including high, molecular weights, can advantageously be obtained by reacting a hexafluoropropylene oxide oligomer dinitrile having a bifunctionality of at least 95 mole % with ammonia and reacting the resultant reaction product with a specific amount of a hexafluoropropylene oxide oligomer dinitrile. It has been found that a polyimidoylamidine having an intrinsic viscosity which is …

Why it's free to use

  • Filed February 1, 1990 and granted June 23, 1998. A Canadian patent filed from October 1, 1989 lasts 20 years from filing, so its term ended February 1, 2010.
  • A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by February 1, 2012.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
