A machine is described in which butterfly clips are punched out of steel strip and simultaneously bent such, that they are fastened to fastening means of the frame of a spring core. Thus, both the punching out of the clip and the bending process, i.e. the connecting process between the parts of the spring core, are carried out in a single tool. The machine therefore operates particularly costeffectively, because, in comparison with the prior art the separately punched butterfly clips do not have to be inserted into a separate bending machine.

Why it's free to use
- Filed April 2, 1990 and granted November 22, 1994. A Canadian patent filed from October 1, 1989 lasts 20 years from filing, so its term ended April 2, 2010.
- A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by April 2, 2012.
- We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
