The present invention provides a plastic filled wire rope. The wire rope includes a core and plastic elements surrounding the core. Outer strands surround the plastic elements, and the outer strands are compacted into the plastic elements. The plastic elements are thusly squeezed to form a plastic layer surrounding the core. The plastic layer further provides a support for the outer strands and keeps the outer strands spaced from the core and from each other. - i -

Why it's free to use
- Filed February 13, 1990 and granted July 7, 1998. A Canadian patent filed from October 1, 1989 lasts 20 years from filing, so its term ended February 13, 2010.
- A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by February 13, 2012.
- We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
